The EU acknowledges that Swiss data protection law ensures adequate data protection.

Thank you for showing interest in our company. Data protection is one of our main priorities. The use of the ARTILUX website is generally possible without providing any additional personal data. However, if a person wishes to make use of special services offered by our company through our website, additional processing of personal data may be necessary. Legal basis for processing of personal data

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing operations involving personal data, the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) or, if and insofar as applicable, Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis for processing of personal data.

If processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract to which the data subject is a party, the FADP serves as the legal basis or, alternatively, if and to the extent applicable, Art. 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures.

Insofar as processing of personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of a legal obligation to which our company is subject, the FADP or alternatively, if and insofar as applicable, Art. 6 (1) (c) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If processing is necessary to protect a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the aforementioned interest, the FADP or, if and insofar as applicable, Art. 6 (1) (f) of the GDPR serves as the legal basis for such processing.

Data deletion and storage period

The personal data of the data subject is deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of storage ceases to apply. In addition, storage may be possible if this is provided for by legal regulations to which the controller is subject.

Data will also be blocked or deleted if a storage period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless there is a need to continue storing the data for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contract.

Your personal data is deleted through your account. All data is deleted in accordance with the terms of use when the user contract is terminated. The user contract can be terminated with the personal profile settings.

Collection and storage of personal data as well as type and purpose of their use

  • When visiting the website

When you access our website www.artiluxswisssafety.com, information is automatically sent to our website server by the browser used on your device. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion:

    • evaluation of system security and stability, and
    • for other administrative purposes.

We never use the collected data for the purpose of drawing any conclusions about your person under any circumstances. In addition, when you visit our website we use cookies (see section 7 below) and analysis services (see section 8 below).

If completed, the following information is also processed:

    • Company
    • Phone
    • Street
    • Postcode
    • Town and
    • Country

ARTILUX informs its customers and business partners about special company offers at regular intervals by means of a newsletter. In principle, the newsletter of our company can only be received by the data subject if

    • the data subject has a valid email address, and
    • the data subject registers to receive the newsletter.

For legal reasons, a confirmation email is sent to the email address entered by a data subject for the first time to receive the newsletter using the double opt-in procedure. This confirmation email serves to check whether the owner of the email address, as the data subject, has authorised receipt of the newsletter.

When registering for the newsletter, we also store the IP address of the computer system used by the data subject at the time of registration which is assigned by the internet service provider (ISP) as well as the date and time of registration. The collection of this data is necessary to enable us to trace the (possible) misuse of a data subject's email address at a later stage and therefore serves as a legal safeguard for the controller.

The personal data collected in the context of registration for the newsletter is used exclusively for sending our newsletter. Furthermore, subscribers to the newsletter could be sent information by email if this is necessary for the operation of the newsletter service or in connection with newsletter registration, as could be the case in the event of changes to the newsletter service or changes in the technical conditions. No personal data collected as part of the newsletter service is passed on to third parties. The subscription to our newsletter can be cancelled by the data subject at any time. Consent to the storage of personal data given to us by the data subject for the newsletter service can be revoked at any time. A link to this effect for revoking consent is contained in each newsletter or this revocation can be communicated to the controller by other means.

Newsletter Tracking

The ARTILUX newsletter contains so-called tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a thumbnail image that is embedded in emails sent in HTML format to enable log file recording and log file analysis. This allows a statistical evaluation of the success or failure of online marketing campaigns. On the basis of the embedded tracking pixel, ARTILUX is able to see if and when an email was opened by a data subject, and which links in the email were activated by the data subject.

Such personal data collected using the tracking pixels contained in the newsletters are stored and evaluated by the controller in order to optimise the newsletter service and to more effectively tailor the content of future newsletters to the interests of the data subject. This personal data is not passed on to third parties. The data subjects are entitled at any time to revoke the separate declaration of consent given in this regard by means of the double opt-in procedure. After revocation, these personal data will be deleted by the controller. ARTILUX automatically interprets cancellation of the receipt of the newsletter as revocation.

Information disclosure

Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We will only share your personal information with third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent to this purpose,
  • this is necessary for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in the non-disclosure of your data,
  • in the event that there is a legal obligation for the disclosure, as well as if
  • this is legally permissible and necessary for processing of contractual relationships with you.
